Important - Upgrading to The Waiting Room 2
If you have registered with The Waiting Room, we have now upgraded to The Waiting Room 2. It gives patients all the benefits from the previous Waiting Room service such as booking appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions, with more facilities being added in the near future. If you have registered with The Waiting Room then please click here to order your prescription. Please be aware The Waiting Room 2 does not give a confirmation email when ordering your medication, you can check the status of your order within the website but no email is sent.
Otherwise please order using the old system however please be advised this system will cease operation in the near future. Click here to order your prescription using the existing system
If you live within one mile of a pharmacy then we are not allowed to dispense for you. Please take your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice
If you live more than one mile from a community pharmacy or have severe problems with mobility (once approval received from Primary Care Trust) we can dispense your prescription in the surgery. Repeat Prescription requests can be received by hand, post, fax or online.
Dispensary Opening Hours
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 08.30 -13:00 & 14:00 -18:00
Tuesdays 08:30 – 13:00 & 14:30 – 18:00
Dispensing Services Provided
Medicines may be collected during dispensary opening hours (stated above).
If a medicine is put onto a repeat prescription this means that you can request a further supply without needing to see the doctor every time.
A request slip for your repeat prescriptions is printed on the sideslip of your prescription. To order a further supply please tick only the medications which you require and drop the request in the box at the dispensary. You may post your repeat slip to the surgery or fax it on 01579 363323. Alternatively you can order online using our secure facility, click on the link above.
We are not able to accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions. This is to avoid confusion over which medication is required.
Please note that we require two working days from the time when your repeat prescription request is received at the surgery to be sure of having your medication available – please make sure that you order in good time.
How to obtain medicines urgently
Urgent supplies are available to prescribing patients during surgery hours. Please telephone/fax or call in person for your request.
Out of hours

Medicines are available from the community pharmacies when open. Patients should contact the pharmacies to ascertain whether an emergency supply can be made without a prescription for the medication they require.
If a prescription is required by the pharmacy then the patient should telephone the surgery number 01579 362249 where they will be transferred to the Out of Hours Service and explain they need a prescription for an emergency supply of their medication.
